Data Center Development Near Muskegon Seeks to Channel Success of Switch

EGELSTON TOWNSHIP, MI – A $5 billion data center was recently announced for Kent County, and officials in neighboring Muskegon County hope soon to announce a similar — if possibly smaller — development. PTS company President Peter Sacco said one potential use of the site would be a “co-location” data center, in which an owner- landlord managing the building would provide space, connections and security for government or industry groups who need remote servers for data back-up or disaster recovery.
