Additionally, you must have 3+ years of proven Construction Supervision, commissioning and construction oversight of data center/computer room, and commercial projects. Having a technical background in UPS and HVAC is preferred but not required. You must be able to work with a team that values excellence through process. Ongoing In-house training is offered for advancement to Construction Manager and Project Manager positions.

Activity Summary:

    1. Site Superintendent Duties:
      1. Manage a team of workers, including their work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation
      2. Manage the daily schedule including communicating with and monitoring the progress of on-site contractors, sub-contractors, and/or trades
      3. Collaborate with clients, engineers, project managers, construction managers, and other support staff
      4. Maintain site OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) standards
      5. Inspect construction and/or installation of equipment and systems
      6. Coordinate and monitor all supplies, materials, and equipment deliveries
      7. Process RFI’s (Requests for Information)
      8. Document site conditions, project progress, and your time by task, to management, on a daily basis
    2. Service Technician and Laborer Duties:
      1. Assemble and/or install UPS, CRAC, IT racks/cabinet, power distribution, and monitoring equipment
      2. Perform UPS and CRAC unit start-up
      3. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance routines for electrical and/or mechanical systems
      4. Perform unscheduled emergency repair services for electrical and/or mechanical systems
      5. Perform data center and/or other cleaning services
      6. Perform painting and/or general labor services
      7. Document, communicate and submit paperwork on a daily basis
      8. Accept deliveries
      9. Provide site coverage

Skills:

    • Basic knowledge of construction process means and methods
    • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal for working with clients, technical support, specialists, field technicians, and management.
    • Must be able to multi-task, including setting priorities and follow up on open issues
    • Skilled in the use of PC and familiar with Microsoft software
    • Able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
    • Able to accommodate a flexible working schedule based on weekly workload
    • Excellent driving record and able to pass a background check

Experience:

    • 3+ years in a Construction Supervisory position

Education:

    • All construction supervision and/or project management education and/or experience is of primary consideration
    • Any technical school training is a plus, but not required
