PTS is working with a large utility company in the Northeast US to provide consulting, maintenance, monitoring, and  support for their emergency services response.

We addressed issues of inconsistent and fragmented IT support, and provided the client with a standardized strategy for power, cooling, monitoring, and management.

Highlights:

  • Implemented a multi-year power, cooling, monitoring, & maintenance standardization plan across ~75 remote IT operating sites
  • Provide design/build A/E/C/C services on an as-needed basis
  • Maintain multi-state emergency responder status to provide any-time scheduled or emergency services
Utility Company Power Lines

Situation

  • Had approximately 75 sites in the Northeastern US operating as remote IT silos
  • No standardization, nor centralized monitoring or management
  • Site performance was unpredictable
  • Maintenance performed was reactionary

Resolution

  • Spearheaded a multi-year standardization strategy for power, cooling, and monitoring/management
  • Implemented a centralized monitoring & management platform
  • Established ourselves as multi-state emergency responder to provide any-time maintenance and/or repair services

Outcome

  • Have served as primary scheduled and unscheduled maintenance service provider, as well as design/build contractor is support of all remote site for last 20+ years
  • Custom built an asset management platform called Data Center Maintenance Management System (DCMMS) designed to track equipment and maintenance history for all sites
