Data Centers from Edge to Cloud

Our Focus

Providing infrastructure solutions specializing in highly available, scalable, redundant and manageable, turnkey solutions for IT environments from utility-to-desktop

Electrical Equipment and Systems Solutions

Electrical Equipment & Systems solutions are a critical component of an Always Available Data Center. Uninterruptible Power Supply, data center power systems, power conditioning solutions, UPS, power supplies, power strips, PDUs, and battery backup systems are critical to provide power to mission critical devices within a data center, computer room, or server room.

From individual data center solutions to integrated systems that keep network closets, computer rooms and data center infrastructure up and running, PTS provides industry leading solutions to meet client requirements. If you are looking for AC-DC data center power supplies, power converters, power conditioning systems, power distribution units, or generators, make sure to visit the solution pages. If you need help in terms of needs analysis, surveying existing systems, assessments of your electrical equipment and systems, planning, engineering & design, procurement, deployment, commissioning, monitoring, maintenance, and/or management, make sure to visit the appropriate PTS services pages.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies or UPSs sustain power to IT equipment within the data center in case of loss of primary power. UPSs are critical for the proper function of a facility and there are a number of design and acquisition decisions to make when considering the procurement of a UPS for a data center, computer room, server room, workstation or other mission critical facility.

Power Distribution Units or PDUs are used to distribute electric power. Rack-based PDUs are used to take high voltage and current and to reduce it to more common and useful levels, for example from 240V 30 A single phase to multiple 120V 15A or 120V 20A plugs.

Eliminating power management issues is essential for IT and Facilities managers to maintain system availability as they deploy higher density equipment. Power Distribution Units are an essential element in managing power capacity and functionality. Premium power distribution units include power real-time monitoring and individual outlet power state control down for remote power recycling to the unit or individual plug level.

Generators are a key to data center reliability. Supplementing a battery-based uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with an emergency generator should be considered by all data center operators.
The question has become increasingly important as super storms such as Hurricane Sandy in the Northeast United States knocked out utility power stations and caused many downed power lines, resulting in days and weeks of utility power loss.

PTS Data Center Solutions provides generator sets for power ratings from 150 kW to 2 MW. We can develop the necessary calculations to properly size your requirement and help you with generator selection, procurement, site preparation, rigging, commissioning, and regular maintenance of your generator.

The Key to Cutting Data Center Construction Costs? Use Minimal Infrastructure

The average enterprise data center costs between $10 million and $12 million per megawatt to build, with costs typically front-loaded onto the first few megawatts of deployment. Seasoned data center builder Peter Sacco, founder and CEO of PTS Data Center Solutions, claims that it is possible to drive down costs by around 25 per cent or more, simply by being more disciplined on design.
