Data Centers from Edge to Cloud

Our Focus

To manage a stress-free data cabling installation for your company

The ANSI/TIA-568-C.1 standard breaks structured cabling into six areas:

  1. Horizontal cabling
  2. Backbone cabling
  3. Work area
  4. Telecommunications rooms and enclosures
  5. Equipment rooms
  6. Entrance facility (building entrance)

PTS IT and RCDD consultants perform site surveys and assessments to understand existing infrastructure as well as fully understand client requirements. Working with client or PTS architects and engineers, RCDD consultants develop network design plans based upon the ANSI/TIA-568-C standard. They can then create, update and maintain CAD files of client facilities and the associated physical layer network topology. Properly maintained documentation of IT and network infrastructure, including moves, adds and changes allows clients to more effectively troubleshoot and easily manage their daily customer requests in an already busy work environment.

Data Cabling Case Study

PROBLEM: The client had 48 port stackable POE switches, in a mess of short cords, and angled panels with switches in between.
SOLUTION: PTS re-measured and re-patched side to side, utilizing the preferred high density 48 port POE switches.

The Key to Cutting Data Center Construction Costs? Use Minimal Infrastructure

The average enterprise data center costs between $10 million and $12 million per megawatt to build, with costs typically front-loaded onto the first few megawatts of deployment. Seasoned data center builder Peter Sacco, founder and CEO of PTS Data Center Solutions, claims that it is possible to drive down costs by around 25 per cent or more, simply by being more disciplined on design.
