"Most buildings are one third or one half of the capacity we need," says Michael Petrino, vice president for PTS Data Center

"We may need 250 pounds per square foot, whereas the floor may be rated for 100 pounds per square foot."
He suggests adding a reinforced under-floor, dispersing the weight to ensure no one area is too heavy, or putting a lower weight limit on
the racks so they don't get overloaded.
