About the Speakers
Peter T. Sacco, President, PTS Data Center Solutions, Inc.
As president and founder of PTS Data Center Solutions, Pete Sacco is a recognized expert in the areas of data center, computer room, and network operations design. His knowledge and experience cover a broad range of skills, including consulting, design, engineering, construction, monitoring, and maintenance for mission critical environments.
Throughout his fifteen-plus year career, Pete has been involved in the development of hundreds-of-thousands of square feet of data center space. Pete Sacco visits as many as fifty data centers per year to evaluate their overall availability and risks, assess the capacities and redundancies of their support infrastructure, and to provide recommendations for improvement.
Prior to founding PTS, Mr. Sacco received his BSEE from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Khaled Nassoura, PE, General Manager, Green Data Center Initiative, Raritan, Inc.
Khaled Nassoura began his career as a network engineer at a consulting engineering firm in New York City. He progressed rapidly to become the Vice President of the Technology Infrastructure practice at Syska Hennessy Group. During this time he built the consulting group as the leading information technology and infrastructure design team in the New York City area.
Subsequently, he founded his own consulting practice, Nassoura Technology Associates, LLC, which grew in size and prominence to support major Fortune 100 firms including Merck
& Co., Johnson & Johnson, Merrill Lynch, and TIAA-CREF.
He later re-directed his energies and re-invented the company as a provider of data center infrastructure management software solutions based on many years of domain expertise in the design and operations of data centers. In 2008, his company was acquired by Raritan, Inc. to form the nucleus of their Green Data Center Initiative group.
Khaled Nassoura holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Telecommunications Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. Mr. Nassoura is a licensed Professional Engineer. He is also a contributor to trade journals and conferences.
