Job Description
PTS is seeking to fill our open
position for an Architect immediately. The Architect will
be a part of the design and engineering department in our
Franklin Lakes, New Jersey office.
The Architect will be a part of the
team dedicated to the design and construction of data center,
computer room, and other mission critical projects. The
Architect will be responsible for data center project management
and design services from concept through commissioning including
planning, programming, criteria development, load growth models,
capacity planning, support infrastructure analysis, and
recommendations, as well as design and specifications. Daily
tasks will include conducting field site surveys, systems
assessments, creating of CAD-based plans, schematics, and
coordinated construction documents, equipment selection, load

Qualifications

Job Description
PTS is seeking
to fill our open position for a Data Center Structured Cabling
Systems Designer immediately. The Structured Cabling Systems
Designer will work with Consulting & Engineering Services
Manager in the development of construction drawings and bid
specifications used in the procurement and installation of
telecommunications infrastructure.
The Structured Cabling
Systems Designer will be responsible for the design and
specification of telecommunications cable plants for technology
projects. Project types include both new buildings and retrofits
in virtually all market verticals including commercial,
education, government, health care, retail, and residential. The
Structured Cabling Systems Designer will be the primary project
manager responsible for collecting client requirements and
translating them into construction documents for implementation
by professional telecommunications contractors.
Qualifications
- Understanding of telecommunications structured cabling design and implementation requirements for data center, computer room, as well as other mission critical environments
- Possess a strong awareness of current and emerging industry standards including BICSI, IEEE, and TIA/EIA as well as vendors and technologies as they relate to the data center physical plant
- Registered communication distribution designer (RCDD) certification is preferred
- Display an in-depth knowledge of networking platforms as they directly impact cable infrastructure; including LAN, MAN, WAN,
& SAN environments, topologies, and hardware

Job Description
PTS is seeking to fill our open position for a Data Center Facility Project
Manager immediately. The Data Center Facility Project Manager will work with
the Vice Presidents of Services & Fulfillment and Sales & Marketing to discover,
qualify, close, and fulfill data center & computer room consulting, design, engineering,
construction, and maintenance opportunities in the medium business space, nation-wide.
The Data Center Facility Project Manager will be responsible for providing pre-construction
through post-construction project management services for projects including the start-up
of new and/or the upgrade of existing data center and computer room facilities.
He/she will serve as the primary liaison between PTS and the client's IT
& facilities stakeholders
as well as the project's architects, engineers, and other consultants in establishing and delivering
on the project's scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Qualifications
- An expert understanding of the facility systems involved in data center operations including systems such as electrical feeders, switchgear, transformers, generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDU, chillers, pumps, air handling units, CRAC units, computer enclosures

Job Description
PTS is seeking to fill our open position for a Sr. IT
Solutions Architect immediately. The Sr. IT Solutions
Architect will be a part of the Information Technology Solutions
Group in our Franklin Lakes, New Jersey office.
The Sr. IT Solutions Architect will be a key member of PTS’
IT services and infrastructure team by bringing their
substantial experience in enterprise level IT solutions
including WAN/LAN Routing & Switching, Network Security, Servers
and Systems, Storage, and Virtualization.
The Candidate for this position will join the organization as
a senior technologist, and be responsible for sharing in the
development of PTS’ “best of breed” vision, strategy, and
technical capabilities across the organization and within
various technologies.
The Candidate will also be responsible for planning,
designing, and implementing IT solutions, managing sophisticated
IT networks on behalf of PTS clients, and providing Level 2/3
support to Level 1 IT technicians who manage other PTS clients.

Job Description
PTS is seeking to fill our open position for an Level 1 IT Technician. The Level 1 IT Technician will report to IT Solutions Group IT Manager in our Franklin Lakes, New Jersey office.
The IT Technician, Level 1 professional will be responsible for providing client with facilities and IT support on a project and/or ongoing basis. The individual will interface with senior staff, various business units, and end-users to perform day-to-day client and system support. Candidate should have some experience in network and PC support, familiarity with commonly used application software, simple routing & switching fundamentals, network security, rack assembly & configuration, and a basic understanding and servicing of 1-phase and 3-phase power. He/she must be familiar with configuration and troubleshooting of networks, PCs, and servers, and have excellent, customer facing communication skills. This job will include all aspects of on-site and remote support including end-user and management support and training as needed.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years related experience working with computers, servers, and switches
- A basic understanding of computer hardware
- Skills in building and supporting computers and computer networks
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems including familiarity with Windows Server 2000/2008, Windows 2003/XP, and Exchange 2000/2007
- Familiarity with anti-virus software programs
- Able to deploy basic business network configurations including domain, network control, and routing configurations
- Basic understanding and service experience with 1-phase and 3-phase power
- Understanding of network security, routing, and switching fundamentals
- Understanding of environmental and IP monitoring systems
- Organized implementation and post implementation problem solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently to accomplish desired goals and objectives as well as in a team environment to solve complex technical challenges

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with PTS senior technical staff, project management, and sales/marketing personnel to provide outsourced IT network management
- Work with customers either remotely or onsite to management, troubleshoot, update, and upgrade computers, servers, networks, security devices, and other network peripherals
- Work with leading edge IT managed services software platforms to monitor, update, and troubleshoot client IT networks
- Use customer relationship management software to track client project, network, and personnel information
- Perform network upgrades and updates including server updates, workstation updates, firmware, switch, router, and other network peripherals.
- Rack, stack, install, and set-up servers and other network peripherals (i.e. switches, routers, storage)
- Collaborate with PTS senior technical staff and customers to perform server, storage, and other assessment services
- Identify, design, and troubleshoot backup, recovery, and archiving solutions
- Develop, design and deliver Microsoft Active Directory solutions, including deployments and migrations.
- Installation and testing of data cabling
- Installation and servicing of environmental monitoring and IP monitoring solutions
- Work with clients and PTS personnel to relocate IT and facilities equipment in terms of de-commissioning, de-rack, move, re-rack, and re-commission
- Perform physical labor on an as-needed basis to move and install racks, batteries, servers, and other hardware technology
